Article Processing Charge

The Context Journal of English Studies applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support the costs associated with the publication of accepted manuscripts. These charges ensure the sustainability of our open-access model, enabling global dissemination of high-quality research without paywall barriers.

APC Structure

The APC varies based on the number of authors and the article word count [max limit per article is 6000 words, and final galley size of 4 MB]. Indian single author: ₹ 2000; authors from outside India: $ 75. Additional authors: ₹ 500 | $ 10 applicable.

Payment Guidelines

  • Deadline: Payment is due after manuscript acceptance but before publication, within 2 days of receipt of the acceptance email.

APC Coverage

The charge supports critical publishing services, including:

  • Editorial Processes: Peer review management, copyediting, and quality checks.
  • Production: Professional typesetting, formatting, and galley preparation.
  • Dissemination: Hosting, indexing, and online digital preservation.

Publication Certificate (Optional)

  • If you require a publication certificate, an additional certificate fee is applicable as mentioned below:
  • Publication certificate fee: ₹ 200 / $ 5 per paper up to two authors. ₹50 | $1 each additional author. (Digital certificate by email).

Revised Submission Fee
The following additional charges apply, where applicable, for accepted paper(s) in subsequent rounds:

  • Plagiarism: ₹300 | US$5 if plagiarism is detected during the initial screening.
  • AI-Generated Content: ₹350 | US$5 if AI-generated content is detected during the initial screening.
  • Content Revision: No fee for revisions made solely in response to reviewer comments, provided no plagiarism or AI-generated content is detected.

Refund Policy

  • No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after acceptance OR for retractions due to ethical violations.
  • Authors assume responsibility for adherence to the submission guidelines; non-compliance will not result in reimbursement.
